Not again!! Like Wizkid, See what Davido plans to do for the next one month

 

Year 2019 was charged to be a time of blockbuster music moments and it doesn’t look set to disappoint Music fans.

Expected artists to drop thier EP this year are Davido, Wizkid and a couple of others. We’ve just been teased with singles from both acts.

While Wizkid teased fans with new music half a month back, throughout the end of the week, Davido made a video of himself, advising his fans that he plans to go ‘phoneless’ for the following one month to finish his new album, which looks like is already in the works.

Moreover, Davido, whose 2017 smash single, ‘Fall’ keeps on waxing solid on the Billboard Hip-Hop and R&B Charts (currently at No. 16) took to his Instagram account and recorded the video, saying,

“For everybody that has been trying to reach me on my phone, or WhatsApp or whatsoever, I have decided to go phoneless for the next one month, just so I can finish my album and focus on things I need to focus on.

“So if you are trying to reach me, call Lati (his Personal Assistant).”

While this might seem strange, music is an great emotional endeavor that requires strong great concentration and dedication. This move is also not quite dissimilar to the tactics employed by Wizkid three months ago after he announced he was going on break.

Let’s hope what Baddest has planned is pure flames.

Meanwhile, Wizzy had earlier hinted his fans about the new song with Drake at the Press Conference of his Canada tour in Toronto.

Wizzy discussed about what it’s like working with Drake, the Nigerian pop star said it’s amazing getting to the studio with someone as talented as him.

He said: “It’s always exciting working with someone like Drake, I do my own little things in Nigeria, Africa and around the world. It’s always amazing when you get to the studio with artists as talented as you are bringing different value to the music. And I want you guys to know that new Wizkid-Drake is coming soon”.

Wizkid made this announcement of a new song with Drake coming two years after Wizkid released “Come Closer,” a song in which he featured Drake back in 2017.
